SMG Indonesia Partnership with Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Bali to Reduce Food Waste

Sanur, 2023 – Established in 2020, Sensorial Management Group Indonesia intends to be the leader in the hospitality and leisure environments concept developments, and operational management in Bali. Having a mission and vision of building a community and sustainability project, SMG Indonesia translated their passion into memorable dining experiences with a full sensory journey throughout the group’s diversified outlets of hotels, villas, and food & beverages businesses. Align with that mission, SMG Indonesia strengthened its business by focusing on a food & beverage management company and starting to take initiative with food waste issues in Bali.

In April 2023, SMG Indonesia took a significant step towards reducing food waste by partnering with the Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Bali. An NGO / Yayasan Derma Atas Pangan with the initiative to reduce food waste by collecting food stocks, leftover foods that are suitable for human consumption, and nutritional foods to help people in need. Not only restaurants, SOS Bali also invited individuals, suppliers, hotels, foundations, and culinary professionals to participate in this action. This initiative not only helps to reduce food waste but also addresses the issue of food insecurity in Bali.

This partnership aligns with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, which emphasizes giving back to the community, while recognizing its role in society and aims to continuously take steps toward reducing environmental problems and supporting social causes.

By partnering with SOS Bali, SMG Indonesia demonstrates the company’s commitment to sustainability and community support by making a positive impact on the environment.
